Christmas Last Posting Dates For International Mail

Those of you who are planning on sending gifts abroad for Christmas are probably aware that the last posting dates for international mail vary depending on the destination. While the last date for sending parcels to the US has long passed, those of you who plan on sending gifts to the UK or Europe will find that the dates are getting closer and closer to their deadlines.

There are also a number of international postal services that offer tracked delivery services. These services may be able to get your gifts there on time, but you will need to choose the right one for your needs.

Some of these services offer a money-back guarantee if your package is not delivered within two business days of posting. You will need to fill out a P58 form to claim the service you paid for.

Other postal services, such as Parcelforce and Global Express, may also be able to get your gifts to their destination on time. However, if you plan on sending a parcel to Australia or New Zealand, you will need to pack your gifts before December 20.

In addition, the USPS recommends shipping your holiday cards early enough to ensure they arrive on time. However, the last posting date for holiday cards may be earlier than you think.

The Royal Mail’s recommended last posting date for sending your first class mail is Tuesday 21 December. This may seem like a long time, but it is still a good idea to get your package in the mail early.
